Bruni is finally back to blogging after a short vacay and weighs in on Christopher Hitchens' rant about wine service. He agrees with much of it, noting that waiters often top off glasses of people who obviously aren't even drinking: "...the server fails to notice, maybe even refuses to notice...The goal is to drain that first bottle so we move on to a second...It’s up-selling in the drag of solicitousness."
