Foie Gras Bans

New, 10 comments

Today the Humane Society demonstrated at City Hall in support of a Senate bill that would ban the production of foie gras in New York. But it won't just be restaurateurs in the tri-state that would have to say goodbye the the duck liver from the Hudson Valley: due to a California ban, by 2012 New York will be the only place in the U.S. producing it. If the bill passes, expect your foie to come from Canada. [City Room]
