2008_05_armandos.jpgBrooklyn Heights' classic Armando's closed over two months ago, but they are just now—as in right now—taking down the restaurant's iconic neon lobster sign. Neighborhood preservationists tried in vain back in March to landmark the restaurant and save the sign, which has hung over the street for 72 years, but couldn't muster enough support. [EaterWire]
