EaterWire: La Vineria's Revamp and Move, "Steaks-to Go" at Primehouse, and Leaving Le Cirque for the Friar's Club

HELL'S KITCHEN— The Feed brings word that the owner of the now shuttered Miss Williamsburg Diner, Max Bartoli, has a new gig: "Serial Italian-restaurant owners Giovanna Miranda and Angela Tastaldo (Il Corso) have recruited him to head up their latest project—they’re moving their La Vineria to the space that once housed another of their holdings, La Locanda dei Vini, by late June/early July. There’s some remodeling and gutting involved; expect 'a traditional Italian look' by the time they’re through." [The Feed]

PARK AVE SO.— In honor of, yes, National Steakhouse Month, Primehouse will be offering steaks to go: "'Steaks-to-Go' orders include any choice of raw steak from the restaurant’s menu, a container of Primehouse New York steak sauce, Farmer’s Market Salad and personal grilling tips with recipes from Executive Chef Brian O’Donohoe." Why get meat at a butcher when you can pay more at a restaurant? [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN EAST—Cutty has the news that one of Le Cirque's chefs is leaving to work at the Friar's Club: "Le Cirque chef de cuisine (and former Chefwatch alumnus) Jason Kallert has made the jump into an executive-chef job of his own: running the kitchen at the Friars Club...management is looking to modernize the comedy fraternity, and a new chef is just part of the plan."
