So no word back yet from the PR of Bar Q on exactly how this smoker-caused fire actually went down or how much damage was done, but here are some shots from the scene. Emergency ConEd workers were on hand to check in on the situation, wearied workers huddled around the hostess stand to wave off passersby, and a pile of garbage bags could be spotted in the back. Otherwise no visible signs of major destruction.
UPDATE: Bar Q PR just sent over what can loosely be called an update: "After further investigation, we have NOT determined the source of the fire, however, it began between the fences of the adjoining patios. bar Q will be closed this evening and will re-open on Friday at 5:30 pm. Sorry for any inconvenience."
