Alain Ducasse's newest New York venture, and the third in his international Benoit chain, opens on West 55th St. next Monday, and already the menu is up in the window. Meant to be a casual foil to his super deluxe St. Regis Hotel restaurant Adour, Benoit is serving "typical French bistro" fare. From the looks of the menu (larger picture here) they've got all the classics (foie gras, escargot, filet mignon) at a price point lower than Adour's but higher than less well known New York bistros. We'll see how it does with the Midtown crowds when it opens next week.
