Recession Special on the RIse Again

Gray's Papaya, the stalwart of cheap eats in the city, plans to raise the price on it's now $3.50 recession special. According to a piece in AMNY, in addition to your Gray's Papaya, you can expect your bagels, slices, and burgers all over the city to cost more now because of higher food costs: "Costs have gone up on mustard, buns, coffee stirrers, and sauerkraut. 'It's every damn thing,' said Gray, 71, who is agonizing over just how much he dare to ask from his customers. 'I'm going to wear a black tie,' he said. 'I'm in mourning.'" So are we Gray, so are we.
