Back in June, Gualtiero Marchesi—the chef dubbed the father of new Italian cuisine and the first Italian to get three stars—bashed Michelin after the French guide downgraded him to one lowly star. Then last week, in response to Marchesi's comments, Michelin went ahead and stripped his remaining star and deleted his restaurant from the guide altogether. Oh, Europe. [M&G via Eater SF]
