The Plywood Report: La Colombe, Reginella, Qunito Quarto, Bar Tini, and More

New, 2 comments

1) Gramercy: Looks like progress is being made at the old Silver Swan space on East 20th. The permits on the door mention "kitchen facilities" and list the owner as Jane Goldberg, the owner of La Casa Day Spa next door. [PLYWOOD]

2) West Village: A new restaurant is finally opening in the old AOC Bedford spot. It's called Quinto Quarto, is owned by a group that owns restaurants in Monaco and Milan, and has an amazing and poorly translated website. [PLYWOOD]

3) South Slope: The Brooklyn Paper reports that the owners of Brooklyn's Bar Tano and Bar Totto are opening a new spot on 8th Avenue and 13th Street next spring, to be called Bar Tini or Cafe Giotto: "It’s going to be a very European-style cafe/wine bar, but it will open at 7 am, so you can get a cappuccino and stand at the bar and talk to your neighbors...” [PLYWOOD]

4) Soho: A new La Colombe coffee shop/cafe is opening up on 270 Lafayette. Architectural drawings pasted to the walls inside show how the whole space will be laid out. [PLYWOOD]

5) Brooklyn Heights: Vittles Vamp notices a "new" space going in on Atlantic Ave: Reginella: "After a bit of research online, I learned that the cast and crew behind the Yemeni restaurant that used to occupy the space is simply reinventing themselves with a renovation and Italian-sounding name." [PLYWOOD]

6) Gramercy: While Starbucks shutters a number of its stores across the country, it's opening a new one on 19th near Park, pictured above. [PLYWOOD]

7) Midtown: Above, a photo of the new Lenny's coming soon to Rockefeller Center, while a Pain Quotidien moves into 53rd and 5th. [PLYWOOD]
