Noho: In a lunchwire shocker, Eater has learned that Crosby Connection—the small but excellent sandwich shop that was forced to relocate from its stand on Crosby Street into the Parisi Bakery on Elizabeth Street just this February—is newly homeless. A visit to the bakery site today revealed one lone counter instead of two, a basket of plastic-wrapped pre-made sandwiches instead of the row of fixings and pot of meatballs, and absolutely zero signage. They will be moving out of their home of less than a year in under two weeks.
The owner wouldn't delve into what happened with his relationship with the Parisi Bakery ("It's like a marriage. Have you ever been married?"), but hopes to relocate as soon as possible. He is looking into a number of locations including an ideal spot, the Bleecker Street Theater right around the corner at 45 Bleecker Street. Crosby Connection hopes to retain their number, no matter where they end up, 212-677-8444 and can be reached for updates there. We'll report back when the new location is finalized.
