Neptune Room Closed for the Immediate Future

Upper West Side: The Neptune Room, the UWS neighborhood spot owned by the same team that runs Jane and The Smith, is closed for the time being. The restaurant's outgoing message notes they are closed for "kitchen renovations" and a worker there tells us they will be closed for two weeks while they reinstall a gas line. However a call to the corporate office reveals the shutter may or may not be temporary. A representative there said the group "isn't sure" when the restaurant will reopen, if at all. UPDATE: Owner Jeff Lefcourt somewhat clears things up. They will reopen in January after the kitchen work, but they are toying with the idea of relaunching the restaurant as something new.
