Shutter Update: Archipelago to Rise from the Dead

Soho West: Intriguing news from the underworld: Archipelago—the fusion spot that closed in the doomed former Dani space last week—will rise from the dead. Though they already let all of the employees go last week, the owners have decided to make another go of it. The official statement on the shutter:

"Archipelago has temporarily closed. We will relaunch soon with an exciting new menu designed for today’s more budget-conscious restaurant-goers."

Sadly, we think they're going to need more than a new menu to overcome that space and location. But one never knows. For Archipelago's sake, here's hoping better, cheaper offerings and a conceptual overhaul will get some bodies out to Hudson Square.
