Madison Square Park: After about five months of silence, we're finally getting some minor intel on Nuela, a space that was originally slated to open in August. For a refresher: back in June the Times reported that Philadelphia chef Douglas Rodriguez and Sapa owner Brian Matzkow struck a deal to close the onetime celeb hotspot and reopen the space as Nuela in two months. By July, rumors circulated that the Nuela deal had fallen through, but were refuted by Rodriguez, who put the new projection at October. That month came and went and just now we're seeing the first plywood over on 24th street. The new goal: "Early 2009".
