The Shutter Report: Vintage New York, Bellizzi

New, 6 comments

Two shutter sightings came across the wire at practically the same time; thus we're presenting a special mid-week shutter report. Check back on Friday for any victims from the rest from the week.

1) Upper West Side: Back in October the Soho branch of Vintage New York shuttered, and fans wondered the fate of their other, Upper West side branch. We got news today, confirmed by the wine store/wine bar's website, that second and final branch has gone down as well. The official word: "After almost 10 years of extolling the bounty of New York wines and foods, Vintage New York has closed it's NYC locations. Don't forget to support your local farms. It is the future as well as the past." [Shutter Inbox]

2) Midtown And from Midtown, the sad news of Bellizzia, a lunch spot that took over a former Cosi location on West 36th and 7th Avenue and used their bread ovens for pizzas. Their sign, above, tells the story. [Shutter Inbox]
