The Shutter: Gramstand Closing/For Sale

East Village: Spotted on the chalkboard menu at East Village darling Gramstand last week: the tea shop and cafe is up for grabs. The owner is looking for $250k or the best offer and workers tell us the tentative closing date is December 16th. No word yet on how much time on this lease the key money will get you, but they've only used up about two years so far. Together with the Five Rose's shutter news, it's not a great day for small time restaurants in the East Village.
