Bruntastic, responding to Bret Thorn's anti-Top Chef rant yesterday: "I think Bret’s being just a tad too grumpy...some of it is undeniably instructive... If “Top Chef” is bad for the restaurant world, it’s not because of the effect the show has on fans. It’s because of the effect the show has on would-be and up-and-coming chefs. The show is yet another promise to young cooks that they can use, and should see, the role of chef as a road to celebrity." [Diner's Journal]
