TRIBECA— A reader writes in with the news: The Palm Tribeca opens today at 206 West St. (at Chambers). And it's just what Tribeca and Fidi need right now—another high end steak house. TRIBECA— According to the Downtown Express, New York Hot Dog Co. in Tribeca has shuttered: "Business dropped by 50 percent, utilities doubled, the cost of food deliveries spiked and Staniere was suddenly losing $20,000 a month. 'How much can I sell a hot dog for?' Staniere said. 'I’m selling hot dogs. I’m not selling gourmet meals.'" [DE]

TUDOR CITY— For this Thanksgiving Convivio will be giving $25 of each meal served at the restaurant to Citymeals-on-Wheels. The four course prix fixe will be offered offered for $89. [EaterWire]
