Recession Woes: Even Cheap Options Reduce Prices

East Village: We've noticed a lot of higher end and middle of the road restaurants offering reduced prix fixes, Sunday suppers, happy hour deals, and the like. But now the cheaper options—some of which could experience a boon in the coming months due to the tightening of wallets—are starting with the recession specials. Notoriously cheap Vanessa's Dumpling on East 14th Street has just lowered the price of their buns from $1.99 to $1.29.
