To wit, consider what happened when star chef Marcus Wareing formally took over one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants: "The reason the chef's table was free is interesting. You see, at the moment that Marcus announced he was going it alone, the [Ramsay] holding group called everyone in the reservations book to tell them the restaurant had closed, and offered them consolation tables at other restaurants in the group instead..."
