NYMag points out today that there's a new drink trend on the rise. Momofuku Ssam has added an entire drinks-menu category devoted to root beer, Beer Table has a root beer float on the menu, and Yoguruto, one of the city's umpteenth new fro-yo shops, serves root beer as a flavor. Add that to the promised root beer tap at the upcoming UWS Shake Shack and the news of Sam Mason's new soda shop/bar (which, chances are, will serve the stuff) and we have a somewhat nostalgic little trend on our hands.
