Horror Stories

For Halloween, Metromix asks a number of top chefs about the most horrific thing they've witnessed in the kitchen, and let's just say there's a whole lot of skin being burned/peeled off. One tale from Psilakis: "He was working the fry station that night, and he put something in the deep-fryer and instead of using tools to pull it out of the hot oil, he used his hand. The oil burn doesn't come off of you. It just cooks the skin. His flesh was just burned off. He didn't come back again." [Metromix]
