Shake Shack might not be the only new spot with root beer on tap: Sam Mason is planning a new bar, adjacent to his Tailor, inspired by '50's soda fountains. And his acclaimed bartender Eben Freeman will not be at the helm: "'I gotta get Eben out of my hair,' Mason joked, and described his imagined space as one with 'swiveling bar stools, homemade soda and...soda infused with spirits and stuff. And desserts and small diner food. It's kind of like a soda fountain for adults.'" [GS]
