As of January 1, 2008 Dani will no longer be serving lunch. Dani will remain open as a special events space, available for private and corporate functions.

The Deathwatch committee is fairly satisfied that a restaurant not serving breakfast, lunch or dinner on a regular basis can be considered closed. Therefore, the paperwork:

Dani
Status: CLOSED
Time on the 'Watch: 7 weeks
Prognosis/Analysis: West Soho isn't the place for a restaurant trying to focus on lunch and private events business. Good chef, good menu, bad attempted saves, worse location. There is some good money behind Dani, so perhaps it will come back as something more casual and conducive to delivery. Ie. making money.
