PARK SLOPE—Though it has endured a lukewarm critical reception and a DOHing, Slope eatery Brooklyn Burger Bar just keeps on ticking. A reader writes: "I just walked by the brooklyn burger bar and it seems like they got the ok to reopen. All the yellow DOH signs are gone and it seems like they are setting up inside to open for lunch today." [EaterWire Inbox]
NEW YORK CITY—According to a United States District Court judge, fast food restaurants don't have to tell consumers just how waist-expanding their fatty, calorie-packed offerings are. From Crain's: "The ruling by United States District Court judge, Richard Holwell, is a victory for the New York State Restaurant Association, which filed a lawsuit against the New York City Board of Health about six months ago over a regulation that required fast-food restaurants such as McDonalds and Burger King to post specific caloric information for each item they sell."
