Here she is. Above, a rendering of Brasserie Forty-Four, the restaurant that will debut at the Royalton in October, on the other side of the Roytalton's gut reno makeover. John McDonald of Lure, Chinatown Brasserie and Lever House is operating the place, as you know. We like the fact that this design looks about 1000% better than the previous restaurant space in the hotel, which was really just a bunch of tables and chairs in the lobby; John, if his current musings are any indication, is excited about what he calls a gigantic fireplace (not pictured), which will divide the space that used to be the sunken seating area on the east side of the lobby. Quite a lot of hotness for midtown to handle, certainly.
