Tomorrow, Frank Bruni reviews Gramercy Tavern, Danny Meyer's, well, Gramercy tavern and home of a newly installed Michael Anthony. Today, the Eater oddsmakers have set the action as follows:
Zero Stars: 9-1So Gramercy Tavern is currently a member of the three-star club at the Times. This rating was bestowed upon them by Mr. Biff Grimes, who noted especially Tom Colicchio's deft hand in the kitchen. The reason to re-review now is the installation of Michael Anthony, of course, following Colicchio's departure. Whereas the Bruni does usually take the occasion of a re-review to upgrade or downgrade, there's something about this one that strikes us as being the exception to the rule—most notably it is the fact that Gramercy Tavern is a three star restaurant. The Eater money this week is on a three-bagger. Bet as you wish.
