EaterWire: Two More DOH Shutterings!

MIDTOWN WEST—Per usual, a note concerning yet another DOH shutdown landed in our inbox today. From a reader, "Hi, I walked by Bombay Palace/K Lounge this morning on W 52nd St, and it appears the DOH has gotten to it as well. I saw several of the familiar yellow tags on its front." [EaterWire Inbox]

GREENWICH VILLAGE—In case you were wondering, via an email from Kosher NY, we learn that vegan eatery Sacred Chow is again safe for types that keep Kosher. And we quote, "After a gap without hashgachah, Sacred Chow, located at 227 Sullivan Street, between West 3rd Street and Bleecker Street, is now under the hashgachah of Rabbi Zev Schwarcz." [EaterWire]

CHELSEA—After receiving another query about possibly DOHed piano bar/restaurant Helen's on Eighth Ave between 18th and 19th Streets, we decided to call them up to see what, exactly, was going on. Their answer, "We're currently closed. We're at war with the Health Department and hope to reopen either tomorrow or Sunday." There you have it, folks. [EaterWire]
