1) Boerum Hill: Twin tipster reports of the new establishment seen above. a) "Cafe/ice cream parlor soon to open on Atlantic Avenue between Bond and Nevis Street in Boreum Hill. Really exciting because (1) ice cream and (2) wifi"; b) "The little sign reads, 'An enthusiastically kid and earth-friendly eatery offering: farm-fresh ice cream, fair trade/organic coffee and tea, all-natural baked goods, Plus... free wifi access and patio seating.' No indication of when it is opening, but the families will certainly swarm when it does." [PLYWOOD]

2) Lower East Side: Activity at last in a storied, long-vacant space, per this tipster report: "the for lease sign at the former site of 71 clinton fresh food has been taken down, and the storefront windows covered with newspaper. any news about what is going in there?" [PLYWOOD]

3) Midtown West: "Know anything about this place that is apparently coming soon on the northeast corner of 55th and Broadway? The space is covered with pretty
placards, Cognac Brasserie de Monsieur Ballon." [PLYWOOD?]

4) East 50s: "There is butcher paper and 'now hiring' signs in the windows of the old Billy's on 1st ave and 52nd. Anybody know what it is going to be?" [PLYWOOD]
