EaterWire: Your Daily DOH Report & Much More!

MIDTOWN WEST—Continuing our coverage of everything DOH-related, some frightening news from Herald Square. From a reader, "DOH - Ms Field's Herald Square. Wonder what type of creatures—aside from the tourists in the area—were enjoying those chocolate chip cookies? [EaterWire Inbox]

2007_06_hill%20country%20d%20b.jpgCHELSEA—The best way to differentiate your new barbecue joint from the 18 other new barbecue joints in town? Get David Byrne to do an impromptu set on day two. BROOKLYN HEIGHTS—Neighborhood cafe Tazza, reported as DOHed last Wednesday, has reopened. To quote a reader, "Hooray." [EaterWire Inbox]

WEST VILLAGE—Also reopened after a DOH run in is Café Angelique. [EaterWire Inbox]

MIDTOWN WEST—Every neighborhood seems to have it's own "Taste of" celebration nowadays, an event where local restaurants gather together, set up tables on the street, and give out little samples of food (we think). Tonight from 5 to 8:30pm, if you're interested and have absolutely nothing else to do, you can get a Taste of Times Square. [Midtown Lunch]
