Jason Neroni Leaves Porchetta, Cites 'irreconcilable differences'; Pastry Chef Gone Too

CARROLL GARDENSJason Neroni, the last chef to helm 71 Clinton and the man who put the restaurant Porchetta on the map has left his post at the restaurant. Additionally, his pastry chef, Mandy Brown, and other kithen staff have also departed. In Jason's own words: "i just wanted to let you know that, effective immediately, i am no longer affiliated with porchetta restaurant in brooklyn. due to irreconcilable differences, pastry chef mandy brown and most of the other kitchen staff has decided to leave as well. i wish marco and the rest of the porchetta staff the best." This is surely the beginning of the end for the restaurant, which was one-starred by The Bruni in January. [EaterWire]
