Tomorrow, Frank Bruni reviews Sfoglia, an Italian 30-seater on the Upper East Side. Today, the Eater oddsmakers have set the action as follows:
Zero Stars: 4-1Here we have a classic small box odds profile. The Bruni has a way with pint-size venues (see esp. Little Owl), which, knowing that a deuce is possible, always makes for exciting betting. Back in July, on the then-new restaurant Frank filed a Journal entry, which was vaguely reminiscent of a one star precursor, assuming the kinks found were addressed by the gentleman's next visit. Those curious as to why the zero star odds are as long as they are should consider that venues of this size generally are not goose-egged so much as they're ignored by Restaurants. So, we're betting that Sfoglia is too good for a zilcher but short of a pair, throwing our cheddar on a nice, clean one star review.
One Star: 3-1 ??
Two Stars: 6-1
Three Stars: 400-1
Four Stars: 25,000-1
