Named for Freud's mother, this is Amalia at Vikram Chatwal's Dream Hotel. The menu here is fairly nouveau, with items as a Wild King Salmon Charmoula and, in a clear attempt to woo the UrbanDaddy set, a Smoked Berkshire Pork Porterhouse. Chef is Ivy Stark (Dos Caminos, Rosa Mexicano); the main honcho is Greg Brier, whose last project was the Flatiron restaurant Aspen. The restaurant may prove to be a serviceable Time Square vicinity destination, but beware: the space is designed to service private parties, which pose a crowd quality threat.
