Liquor License How-To, Boucarou Edition

[Kalina, 2/27/07.]

Speaking of those pesky East Village noise wars, we find ourselves today in possession of two fresh pieces of evidence about East 1st Street retractable roof hideaway Boucarou.

In one hand, we have the Maximum Kalina, seen above. In the other, the menu for the joint, which—like our old friend Marshall Stack and, of course, Death & Co.—made a point of touting the gourmet cuisine that would deliver to the noise-sensitive neighborhood a haute dining crowd, not that filthy, rabblerousing drinking sort. That said, perusing the aggressive menu from executive chef Malik Fall, and then considering again at the, uh, dining room above, let us simply say: job well done, Team Boucarou.
