Subject: Waverly Inn Has Mice
I had the privilege of dining at the Waverly Inn on Monday night. Although we were seated in the back dining room with the common folk, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, well, mostly. We were seated right next to the fire and I couldn't help but notice over the course of the night that a few mice scurried back and forth along the floor boards. I suppose that the back dining room is technically an outdoor garden area, so the sight of mice should not be unheard of, but it does seem out of character in a restaurant like this. I chose not to inform my date of the sighting until after we had left. She's smarter than me and later suggested that we should have told the waiter and attempted to get a discounted meal. Maybe next time.
