Eater Inside: The House

The first question you want to ask yourself when naming your new restaurant is do I like this name? The second thing you want to ask is, how searchable is my new great restaurant name? Case in point: The House. Not. searchable.

Anyhow, this is The House, a restaurant and wine bar recently opened in Gramercy. The vibe here is very comfortable, thanks in no small part to its 1854 carriage house environs. Though menu is somewhat unfocused, as The Bruni has pointed out, The House, like predecessors such as One If By Land, Two If By Sea, has its location and looks going for it and in the long run and will fare very well with the romantic set.
