The Shutter reports on bar and restaurant closings around town. Today, it's odds and sods concerning places you may well never have heard of. Do enjoy.
1) Chelsea: It's been doneski since the summer, but the signage on cabaret fave Helen's (above) is too aggressive not to be worth a final look. Seriously, we get it. [Shutter Inbox]
2) East Village: A tipster emails, "I walked by two places in the East Village this morning that look finished. Bamboo House, the Chinese restaurant on 2nd Ave and E. 6th that nobody ever ate it looks gutted (maybe a Starbucks, bank or Pinkberry will take the space), and the hotdog place on St. Marks betw 2nd Ave & Bowery (with the dog awning) has paper over the windows." [Shutter Inbox]
3) Little Chitaly: Ye Olde Funky Thai eatery at Mott and Kenmare Streets has been closed "for a couple of weeks," Cutlets reports. "Could this be the end of the latest incarnation of the spot that was Funky Broome and then briefly Jazzi Wok?" Sources say, whatevs. [Cutlets]
4) Park Slope: Sandwich haven Tempo Presto is kaput, reports Gowanus Lounge. Bonus color: "First came the rumor: Tempo Presto is closing. Then came word on Brooklynian that a For Lease sign has been spotted in the window of the storefront that has gone through a number of incarnations." [Gowanus Lounge]
