Today marks the final day of the summer season at Harry's Water Taxi Beach the Long Island City bar and beach set up by Harry Hawk in conjunction with the New York Water Taxi. Its remote location and inedible food are problems, to be sure. But, it's a beach, and with the eats being free and the drinks being half-off all day, "Everything Must Go" style, it may be just the thing to compliment a light Columbus Day work schedule. If you do go, we'll offer this advice: Have an exit strategy, as getting a taxi in Long Island City is not easy.
