WEST VILLAGE—An anonymous tip come in concerning the installation of a new chef at Perry St, Jean-Georges Vongerichten's West Village restaurant: "Jean-Georges Perry St has a new chef de cuisine. Erik Battes who has been with the company for 4 years and spent the last 2 as a sous chef at Perry St was recently promoted.
