CARROLL GARDENS—The waits at excellent Italian restaurant Frankies 457 Spuntino may soon be a little less crushing. Via a source, we hear that the Court Street destination is expanding. A call to the restaurant finds that there is more to the story, however. The Franks have acquired a space at the corner of Court and Luquer Streets, just a few doors down from the Spuntino, but they're not sure what they are going to do with it. GRAMERCY/FLATIRON—Surprise, surprise: Park Avenue South Greek restaurant Parea, recently closed "for renovations," won't be reopening. Instead, the area will be gaining a new Greek eatery. A tipster writes: "Walked by the now-closed Parea today, and it had 'Now Hiring' signs on the window, with an indication that it would reopen sometime this month.
