From Crain's: "Cipriani USA Chief Executive Giuseppe Cipriani was sentenced to three years probation for evading $10 million in New York state and city taxes, while his father, Cipriani SA owner Arrigo Cipriani, received a conditional discharge for his own tax fraud indictment. The Ciprianis, operators of Harry’s Bar in Venice, Italy, and the Rainbow Room in Manhattan, were sentenced Wednesday in New York state court in Manhattan. Both men pleaded guilty in July to filing false corporate tax returns and claiming deductions for fabricated royalties for use of the family name." [Crain's]
