Today, the Times announced via internal memo that Pete Wells, made famous by his spat with Strongbuzz and his love of food blogs (and his many accomplishments as a food writer, too), will be taking over as the new editor of the Dining section, replacing Kathleen McElroy . Details on the transition are still trickling in, but given the state of affairs at Dining, they'll likely waste no time in getting him going. Which is to say that we hope he doesn't waste any time in turning the place around.
