The Drying of NYC: Liquor Store Bar Throws in Towel

This here is Michele Angerosi, the gentleman who purchased the Liquor Store Bar on the corner of White and West Broadway in Tribeca, dumped $250,000 into it—then got the shaft on the liquor license front. As recently as this spring, he was vowing to fight the statute that got him negged last December: the fact his bar is within 500 yards of a mosque.

No more. Reports a tipster, "Liquor Store Bar can't get back their full liquor license because of the mosque on the block and the tenant has quit. The store is now up for rent again." And so, as reasoned, the Drying of NYC continues apace.
