Food Section Buzzwrap: E.U. Takedown Ends?

1) Has embatted East 4th Street gastropub E.U. finally moved from temporarily closed to fully shuttered? FloFab says so today, but E.U. insiders tell us that the place has not yet given up the ghost for good. Stay tuned. She's also quick on the trigger on the Biltmore front, noting the place isn't closed, it's closed "for a renovation." Put us down as "respectfully disagree." [Off the Menu]

2) Daniel Boulud on the Upper West Side? Keil thinks it's going to happen in a space that currently houses a Chase at 64th and Broadway. The concept for Daniel's fourth outpost: "an extensive wine bar with emphasis on wine pairings." [NYPost]

3) Eight blocks up, from the wilds of the business section and Post real estate reporter Lois Weiss, this nugget: the Upper West Side's Star nightclub is changing owners—and concepts. The newcomers, former Copacabana owner John Juliano and Marc Glazer of Branch and El Morocco, plan to convert the space into a dance club and private party venue called Columbus72.
