Yes, indeed, this is Craftsteak, Tom Colicchio's NoMeat steak stake. One highly credible initial report was "the "Hawaiian beef" was very chewy but well flavored and the "Hereford" beef, virtually tasteless but very tender," but there is little question that Colicciho will get it right in the end—and perhaps, with a fierce design and top-notch kitchen team, reign supreme in NoMeat stadium.
The Chef de Cuisine is Chris Albrecht, who's been with Colicciho since Gramercy Tavern and was the Chef de Cuisine at the original Vegas Craftsteak before making the trip back east.
