BruniBetting: Country

Tomorrow, The Frank unleashes on Geoffrey Zakarian's Country. The Eater Odds makers have structured the action as follows:

Zero Stars: 20-1
One Star: 3-2
Two Stars: 3-1
Three Stars: 20-1
Four Stars: 20,000-1
Comparitively speaking, Bruni has taken his time on this one. Platt, who has been averaging one star better than Bruni for weeks now (N.B. NYM is out of 5 stars), gave Country two NYM stars grudgingly last week. The Cuozz's expierence was somewhat better, though we can't say for sure where he would have come down. And though it was unfairly early on, Le Draoulec one-point-five-starred it for the Daily News back in January. All this said, the conservative bettor takes the one star action, especially in light of Bruni's stinginess of late, while the gentleman who likes to live a little will bet on three, knowing that Bruni hasn't unleashed his wild side in some time and that Zakarian's history with the Times Dining section is good.

UPDATE: The wild side prevails; THREE STARS.
