The newest of the Van Brunt restaurant fleet, this is Red Hook's own Good Fork. Ben Schneider and his wife, Sohui Kim are both local residents and the proprietors. Sohui, with Annisa and Blue Hill on her CV, is in the kitchen. The menu is filled with offerings that have subtle Asian accents, such as pork and chive dumplings and a steak and eggs with kimchee rice. There is also a very respectable burger, it turns out.
Average wait at 8 PM for the month-old restaurant is 30 minutes.
