Plywood Report Breaking Update: Dirty Bird Soft Launch

We were thwarted once in our hopes for Allison Vines-Rushing's latest chicken venture, the West Village's Dirty Bird to-go, first scheduled to open on Monday. But hope springs eternal, and chickens will be consumed. Very possibly today. From a late-night correspondent:

tonight, at dirty bird, they said they'd be soft-launching tomorrow (april 20th) with a partial menu for lunch.

(if i understood correctly, they can't do all the fried stuff yet because they're still working on the ventilation.)

they were roasting two chickens and you could smell the deliciousness from the street. (the deliciousness of the chicken, not of the street.)

We'd love to believe. Go eat, and tell.
