We were thwarted once in our hopes for Allison Vines-Rushing's latest chicken venture, the West Village's Dirty Bird to-go, first scheduled to open on Monday. But hope springs eternal, and chickens will be consumed. Very possibly today. From a late-night correspondent:

they were roasting two chickens and you could smell the deliciousness from the street. (the deliciousness of the chicken, not of the street.)
