Friday brought the news, sent in by a far-flung Brooklyn correspondent, that the Gowanus Yacht Club, the old $2 brats and $3 PBR Smith Street standby, might be reopening that night. From an intrepid Manhattan correspondent, the news comes in that yes, it is in fact open. "Friday, out in Brooklyn, looking for a place for my friends to drink and me to eat. Stumbled into Gowanus Yacht Club for a pitcher and a black angus dog. Menu's still as cute as ever (bud light w/ napkin "for the ladies"), and even though it had just rained everyone was psyched to be outside. Can't wait for real summer weather to kick in, it's gonna be awesome!" Yes. Yes it is.
