Plywood Report: Bar Martignetti, Tasting Room, Unnamed Barolo Project in Meatpacking

1) Soho: A tipster sends along the above images, noting, "This appears to be a new place—sign says opening this summer. Corner of Broome and Cleveland." New one on us. Let us welcome Bar Martignetti, a brasserie-to-be, to the Plywood Report. [PLYWOOD]

2) Meatpacking: A tipster sends along word: "The Bar with No Name (next door to Paradou on Little West 12th St.) is closed, with some serious Black and Decker work going on inside. Hear that it's going to be reborn as a restaurant from the Barolo folks." [SHUTTER/PLYWOOD]

3) Nolita: A recent stroll past the former digs of Plate NYC reminded us that it's soon to become the new home of current East 1st Street restaurant The Tasting Room. Paper's up on the windows but not so high that we couldn't steal a peek at the front bar area now under construction (above left). Back of the restaurant will hold 100 seats—a solid 65 more than The Tasting Room's got now. Previous coverage of the move here. [PLYWOOD]

Got plywood—and perhaps a cameraphone shot? Email Eater; it feels so good.
