"Is it me, or can you hear the death knell for Jefferson? They appear to have abandoned the meat-on-a-stick theme they were so excited about when they re-opened last year (is there a less appetizing word in the English language than “skewer”? I’ll happily order a big order of yakitori, kebab, souvlaki or satay any day, but “skewer” doesn’t sound like dinner – it sounds like something that happens at Gitmo) … back to Jefferson, though … seems to me the real deathwatch giveaway is the big “20% OFF BRUNCH!” sign that went up a few months ago. I walk by the place pretty much daily and there’s never much going on inside that I can see."
